Hello, Summer!

This past weekend the last school group of the Spring 2013 season visited White’s Landing for some marine biology education and fun in the sun. These middle school students did an excellent job snorkeling and kayaking all weekend long. Some even braved a night snorkel! Here are some Lawrence Magnet students learning about “Life in the Sand.” They created a Rock-Shark.
And here are some proud students with the “Nar-Sun-Ray” that they constructed out of sand and items found on the beach.

It has been a great season of spring programming complete with new and returning program specialists and fantastic groups of students visiting from March through June. We can’t wait to see what the summer season brings to White’s Landing!

At the Catalina Experience, we believe that every summer in a young person’s life is an opportunity to slow down, open up and explore. We provide experiences that nourish body and spirit, and in doing so, allow them to connect with nature and discover more about who they are.
